Christian Education at GPMC
At Grosse Pointe Memorial Church, there are multiple educational opportunities for
children,
youth, and adults.
On Sunday mornings our growin "Young Children & Worship"
(during the 9 o'clock service) and Sunday school classes are available
for children ages 3 yrs - 12th grade. Also, Adult Education classes are
offered on a wide variety of topics. Children and youth participate in
worship throughout the year. In advent and in the spring, children and
youth lead worship for the congregation. The advent worship services
will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009.
During the school year, children and youth are invited to participate in LOGOS,
a program which nurtures a faith relationship with Jesus Christ, while
connecting children and youth to the church. Children in grades
Kindergarten through fifth grade participate on Tuesday nights. Middle
school and senior high students participate on Sunday evenings.
Throughout the year different activities are planned for our
elementary age youth such as "Friday Fun Nights." High school students
are offered an opportunity to work as Christian Education Interns,
participate in the Seekers (confirmation) program, participate with
other church members on local Habitat for Humanity builds, and be a
part of the high school mission trip every summer.

mission trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, where they seved at the Caribbean
Christian Center for the Deaf. Past teams have been to Costa Rica, to
Navajo Mountain, Utah to work on the reservation and to Marietta
Georgia where they reroofed houses, built decks, added fascia, did
landscaping, trimmed trees, replaced windows and doors, and more.
In August, middle school students stepped out and experienced the
Middle School Mystery Trip - four days of fun, chaos, and God moments.
In 2009, the group traveled to Louisville, KY for a time of worship,
fellowship and fun. Past trips have been to Cleveland, Muskegon,
