Middle East Study Group: Middle East History, World War I to the Present
Join our Middle East Study Group as we begin our journey to achieve a greater breadth and depth of understanding of the history of a region that is so important to our world, a study undertaken so that we might be instruments of God’s peace.
Our current guide in our study is Saeed A. Khan, who is Lecturer in Near East & Asian Studies at Wayne State University, where he is a Fellow at the Center for the Study of Citizenship, with primary research on identity politics of Muslim diaspora communities in the US, UK and Europe. He is also a founding member and a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Policy & Understanding, a think tank promoting the analysis of US social and domestic policy. He is a regular contributor to the BBC, NPR and Quartz, and is a panelist on Turning Point for “The National,” on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
Mr. Khan is with us for three Tuesday evenings, from 7:30-9 PM in Barbour Chapel.
