Volunteers are needed to help Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church give away food to hungry people every Friday. They have made a commitment to the community to open their parking lot EVERY Friday and share food. Food boxes and pantry items come from Food Rescue US, packaged meals from MakeFoodNotWaste.org, and fruits and vegetables are gleaned from neighborhood markets. You can help by signing up to help on any Friday.
You’ll meet JAPC member, Paul Booker, and friends in the JAPC parking lot (right behind the church), set up and load boxes and bags into cars for the hungry in the neighborhood from 10:30 am to noon. 3-4 people per week are needed. Bring a friend or bring the family (age 12+). You are outside and wearing a mask the whole time.
