Join GPMC for a family experience that explores life when Jesus was born. Visit various shopkeepers, like the carpentry shop, the scribe’s tent, the painter’s hut, and the pottery shed. Try making bread at Bethlehem Bakery and visit the metal worker’s shop. Then head to the stable to hear the story of Jesus’ birth directly from Mary and Joseph.
Nursery care will be provided for children ages 2 and younger.
Cost: $10 per family – Event fee is required in advance. Check, cash, or credit card payment through this link are accepted. For cash/check, please mail or bring to GPMC (16 Lake Shore, GPF).
Want to help?
We are looking for folks to dress up and be shopkeepers, other folks to be townspeople, and even a couple of people to be city guards. We could also use behind-the-scenes help gathering and organizing supplies. If you are an artist, we would love to have help creating a town mural and other decorations. Sign up to volunteer here!
We are also looking for some items to borrow to transform GPMC into Bethlehem. If you have any of these items, please contact the Christian Education team.
- Seven (7) canopy tents
- Fabric in “Bible” colors (white, cream, brown, tan, gray, etc. – can be solid or prints) that will be draped and stacked over tents and tables
- Large baskets, large pieces of sturdy pottery
- Fake plants
