Dinnertime on January 30

Dinner for the Homeless

Sunday, January 29, 12 pm – 2 pm

and Monday, January 30, 5:00 – 7:30 pm.

We are cooking for, and serving, the homeless.

Yes, Cass Community Social Services is starting their Rotating Shelter again!

GPUMC is the FIRST church to offer a Shelter Week this winter.  We are delighted to support their program for housing the homeless.  We will make and serve dinner for 30.  About 20 will come from Cass Community, and, as always, we encourage volunteers to share in the meal.

Here’s the plan:

On Sunday, January 29, from 12 pm to 2 pm, we will meet in the GP Memorial Church kitchen to prepare the meal.  Slicing and dicing will be done under the direction of Dan Grano and Sarah Harness.  If you like to cook, this is the place for you.   We need about five volunteers to join our leaders.

On Monday, January 30 from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm.  We’ll need about 10-15 to join us at GPUMC on Moross to set up, serve and clean up.

Sign up at:   Yes! I want to cook and serve a meal at GPUMC!

Thank you to Dan Grano and Sarah Harness for taking the lead on this.  Contact them for more info.
