Do Not Be Afraid Playlist

Fear, Anxiety and Jesus

The world has felt like it turned upside down for many people across the United States and the world over the last few months.  The playlist below focuses on acknowledging fear and trusting in God.

Start by reading the Bible Story or watching the video and going through the wondering/discussion questions.  Then pick the activities your family or small group would like to do, as many or few as you like.  Close your time with prayer – use your own or the one provided.

Bible Story

Read Psalm 23 from your favorite bible.

Wonder/Discussion Questions

            For Children

  • I wonder what it feels like to be afraid.
  • I wonder what it feels like to feel safe.
  • I wonder what God’s house looks like!
  • I wonder how we know that God is with us, especially when we are feeling scared or afraid?

          For Youth/Adults

  • Why do you believe this is one of the most beloved passages in the bible?
  • Who would be a modern day replacement for the shepherd as the God figure?
  • Are there things that are OK to want or does God just expect us to be satisfied? (I shall not want)
  • Does God expect me to socialize with people that hate me or that I’m uncomfortable around? (He prepares a table before my enemies)
