With commentary by guest speaker Michael Silhavy, and
music led by the Grosse Pointe Memorial Church Choir and organist James Biery
Michael Silhavy is an editor at GIA Publications, Inc. in Chicago, IL. He has served as the primary editor and editorial committee member for several Roman Catholic hymnals and other ecumenical publications. As a church musician he has worked in parish, grade school, university, cathedral, and diocesan settings. He currently is a member of the editorial review board of The Hymn, a journal of the Hymn Society of the United States and Canada. He has authored entries on American composers and authors for the Canterbury Dictionary of Hymnology. It was his privilege to work with Marilyn and James Biery for many years at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
