Stewardship

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1)

Dear Friends,

One of the greatest gifts we have been given is the brightness of God’s mercy that shines over us and all of creation. Just like the sun rises over our beautiful Lake St. Clair, the light of Jesus Christ casts God’s glory over us and it is our job to respond with wonder, joy, and generosity.

This year, our Stewardship Campaign at GPMC is “Shine Bright, Share the Light.” Taken from Isaiah 60:1, our hope is that everyone, both near at far, might experience the warmth and glow of the Lord of light in our midst. Our church is called to be a light by the lakeshore; dispelling darkness, nurturing faith, growing in love, and caring for each other, our community, and the world. When we do, we shine our light for Jesus Christ as the Scriptures invites us to, experiencing the joy and wonder of being the church God calls us to be.

With that in mind, I’d encourage you to prayerfully read this brochure which casts a light on what your giving dollars do here at GPMC. As you know, you and I are a part of a dynamic church that has a legacy of faithfulness for 159 years and counting. Please join my family and I as we “shine bright and share the light” at GPMC this year through our generous giving.

Faithfully yours,

Rev. Dr. Jeff Lincicome
