Grosse Pointe Memorial Church is pleased to present its annual Summer Carillon Recital Series on four Tuesday evenings in August.
The free concerts begin at 6:15 pm and last 45-minute (rain or shine)!
Concertgoers are invited to come and listen from anywhere on or near the church campus. Some listeners bring a picnic dinner to enjoy during the music.
These recitals are played on the church’s carillon, a set of 48 bells. A television monitor is provided on the Front Lawn to allow for the audience to see the performer at the playing clavier in the tower.
The performers for the 2025 series are:
- August 5: Christine El-Hage Walters
- August 12: Tiffany Ng
- August 19: Julie Zhu
- August 26: Eric Whitmer (GPMC’s Resident Carillonist)
To conclude the season Eric needs your help for a very special participatory concert. Everyone is welcome regardless of prior musical experience, just RSVP via email to Eric or Logan to participate on August 26.
These concerts are provided by Grosse Pointe Memorial Church as an outreach to the community and are free of admission charge. Donations are gratefully accepted.
