Grosse Pointe Memorial Church is pleased to present its annual Summer Carillon Recital Series on four Tuesday evenings in July.
The free concerts begin at 6:30 pm and last 45-minute (rain or shine)!
Concertgoers are invited to come and listen from anywhere on or near the church campus. Some listeners bring a picnic dinner to enjoy during the music.
Ice cream treats will be available for purchase from Captain Kool’s Ice Cream Truck.
These recitals are played on the church’s carillon, a set of 48 bells. A television monitor is provided on the Front Lawn to allow for the audience to see the performer at the playing clavier in the tower.
The performers for the 2023 series are:
- July 4: The Duo “Bel Ensemble” (Dina Verheyden and Richard De Waart)
- July 11: Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra
- July 18: Simone Browne
- July 25: Wesley Arai
These concerts are provided by Grosse Pointe Memorial Church as an outreach to the community and are free of admission charge. Donations are gratefully accepted.
