Foster Care – College Students need support

The CHAMPS Program at Wayne State works to increase college access and improve graduation rates of foster care youth in Southeast Michigan through research, advocacy, financial and academic support.  ONE way they do this is with “The W Food Pantry” for school supplies, food, and other student necessities.  Students who come from a foster care background don’t often have family support to help them succeed in college.

Students are returning to campus this fall after a long absence due to Covid.  The pantry is reopening and its shelves need restocking.  We can help.

To help foster care youth succeed at WSU, please bring in College Student School Supplies.

August 1 – 15

Deliver them to the box in the coat room anytime OR in the lobby or at Trinity Terrace AT Sunday Services.

GPMC Youth are shopping in August with funds from Outreach to purchase food and necessities of living.  We are helping with school supplies.

Thank you for contributing!
