GPMC’s Hunger Offering recipient this month is Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS).
In 1982 the Coalition on Temporary Shelter was founded to address Detroit’s growing homelessness crisis. In 1983 COTS purchased its current headquarters, located at 26 Peterboro in Midtown Detroit, and began providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, and comprehensive supportive services to men, women and children experiencing homelessness. Our support is vital as COTS adapts to meet the evolving needs of families experiencing homelessness.
Every dollar donated toward this month’s offering when you use the blue pew envelopes, give through the secure donation form, or by sending a check with “COTS” or “Hunger Offering” on the memo line will be matched up to $2,000 by the Outreach Council.
